Review shaves a year off defence procurement process

The Australian government aims to cut the length of time it takes for the defence department to procure large projects by up to a quarter in a major overhaul of procurement.

Defence minister Melissa Price welcomed the release of the Australian Standard for Defence Contracting and Defence Procurement Review, saying its proposals offer opportunities to reduce red tape and save time and money.
