'Unprecedented' energy price hikes make for 'bumpy winter'

Federal energy minister Chris Bowen has warned Australians they may face a “bumpy winter” with electricity prices potentially rising by up to 50% over the next two years.

The warning comes as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) said recent weeks had seen “significant and unprecedented” price hikes.
