Etihad to use 'closed-loop' products on economy flights

Etihad Airways will implement recycled plastic tableware and stainless steel cutlery as part of efforts to reduce single-use plastics.

The new product line will be launched for all economy flights in 2022’s fourth quarter. The range includes locally-sourced pillows, blankets and tableware made from recycled plastic. The items are part of a “closed-loop recycling system,” meaning they will be collected, washed, ground and reused to make replacements.
