Australian shippers are being forced to spend more than A$1bn (US$707m) a year in ‘unreasonable’ container administration fees in addition to record freight rates, two industry groups have complained.
The Freight &Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) said they had received numerous complaints about rising container detention fees.
