Are you suffering "Obama fatigue"?

20 January 2009
Paul SnellHaving followed the new US President’s procurement plans and proposals in detail recently, I can’t help feeling a little “Obama fatigue” beginning to set in. Fortunately my cynicism will certainly not dampen the spirits of an estimated 2 million people who are expected to line the streets of Washington D.C. to witness the inauguration of the USA’s forty-fourth President. But if he thought winning the job was difficult, it only gets tougher from here. Can President Obama possibly live up to the hype surrounding him and the promises that he has made? I, and the rest of the world, stand ready to be convinced. As George W. Bush may say when they meet for coffee later this morning - Barack, it’s over to you.
