How are you dealing with the downturn?

5 January 2009
Paul SnellIn October the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) launched its first Dealing with the Downturn report. It warned companies are far more reliant on their supply chain today than in previous periods of economic trouble, and urged buyers to move away from adversarial relationships with their suppliers. The MCA are returning to this topic and are keen to hear from SM readers about their experiences of the downturn so far. The association has launched an online survey to understand how buyers are managing their supply chains in the current climate. The survey can be accessed here The association is offering five copies of the book Logistic and Supply Chain Management: Creating Value by FT Prentice Hall to be won in a prize draw for those who complete the survey. Respondents will also receive a copy of the report, to be launched in February, which will include advice from experts on strategy and planning, sustainable sourcing, on-going supply chain management and improvement.
