Most of us are keen to make a good first impression when going for a job interview, but some people appear to be taking this to the extreme.
According to the jobhunting website Careerbuilder, almost half of unemployed people have changed their appearance to make themselves more attractive to employers. Methods included losing weight or dyeing hair a different colour, but even stretched to having a tummy tuck or a boob job.
Has it really come to this? The job market is obviously tough - but tough enough to necessitate plastic surgery? But I have often heard people say on TV shows such as Ten Years Younger that surgery gives them greater confidence, a key factor in a successful job interview.
Whatever works for you, I guess.
