At
SM we like to know your priorities for the year ahead, so our editorial content can reflect the issues and challenges you face.
At the start of 2010 you told us your focus was
influencing more spend by getting into new categories, challenges around
SRM, continuity of supply,
outsourcing and of course continued cost cutting (please find numerous examples via our
archive).
We have covered these issues – and more – in various ways throughout the year, as you can see from the links above.
In addition to these, there have been a number of trends emerging for 2010. In the UK, public sector procurement is very much centre stage to make cuts that reduce the deficit. Many companies are slashing supplier numbers to create a more a workable supply base, and risk has played a significant part with numerous incidents across the globe impacting on supply chains.
This is just a handful of examples – there are so many more.
So with less than a month of this year left, what are your priorities for next year? Will your focus be similar to 2010 or does 2011 have a different agenda in store? Send a message and let us know.
