How to get the most from supplier audits

Audits can be a powerful tool if used sparingly, positively and with careful targeting, but when overdone they can be a drain on both supplier and client.

There’s no doubt that supplier audits have their value in the hierarchy of supplier management. After all, seeing something with your own eyes gives you an extra degree of confidence and can offer powerful insights to help improve the supplier relationship. But used wrongly this can be an expensive and ineffective way of achieving your goals.
