    CIPS customers expect the knowledge, content and capabilities provided in knowledge and learning resources and programmes to be the most relevant and up to date.     Standards and Product Development Process Manager

    Job Summary:
    This role reports to the Group Head of Learning and is responsible and accountable for leading product specification, the design process for products, services and content development and the product development road map in line with CIPS Global Standards across CIPS.

    The job holder will co-ordinate the CIPS product and service strategy in conjunction with key internal stakeholders and will lead cross-functional teams responsible for bringing new products to market from ideation to launch by analysing proposed product requirements, market requirements and product development programmes and championing quality and brand reputation across all deliverables.

    The role requires a clear understanding of what constitutes good education product and programme design from a global perspective as well as an interest in procurement and supply issues to ensure CIPS product development is appropriate, contemporary and meets the needs of the global nature of CIPS stakeholders.

    CIPS have embarked on a transformational project which sees the majority of its systems transition into the Oracle Stack. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast paced environment building on a truly enterprise platform.

    In this senior IT role, you will manage, support and maintain CIPS core business systems, with particular regard to Release and Defect Management. Identify and analyse business requirements and translate them into accurate IT specifications for external suppliers and partners in order to continuously develop CIPS systems to meet global business growth. To lead on test and implementation of new software developments and ensuring they are fit for business use. Provide support and advice to CIPS systems users globally.

    Build the team knowledge of the system architecture documenting the existing processes and interfaces, assist with risk mitigation, set up alerting mechanism and transition into the in-house support team.

    The role is specifically charged with the project to design, implement, manage and maintaining an efficient and effective global supply chain utilising production, distribution and logistics 3rd party suppliers to provide an effective and efficient fulfilment service to a global audience in a timely and cost effective way that encompasses the UK and South African operation.
