Members of the CIPS Australasia Queensland Branch Committee had the rewarding opportunity to chat with students of Griffith University on Thursday who are studying their Masters in Supply Chain Management.
Over coffee, the group discussed topics such as what does a typical day in procurement look like, the differences and challenges between Government and private sector procurement, how to avoid risks when outsourcing internationally, creating sustainability in supply chains and the relationships that procurement has within different areas of an organisation.
It was an engaging session and an exciting first step in building stronger relationships and raising awareness of the procurement profession within the university sector in Queensland.
