CIPS are launching a new online learning tool, passport to supply: supplier management, to help businesses work more efficiently, economically and effectively. Key areas covered by the course are the benefits of establishing a "who does what" approach to ensure clarity, accountability and responsibility. It enables businesses to establish smakrt key performance indicators (KPI's) to align suppliers objectives with the company goals.
The training is available from April 5 and comprises of 6 modules that take on average 50 minutes each. The programme focuses on practical tools and skills to gain businesses value for money. The tool combines marked case studies, multiple choice quizzes and downloadable tools to give variation to the learning experience. The tool gives businesses a greater understanding of how suppliers operate the negotiation skills to use as well identifying the most important suppliers and maximising returns from the relationships. The training is available 24/7 enabling businesses to learn at a convenient pace and time.
