Inspire the next generation and earn CPD points

CIPS 5 September 2012

Calling CIPS members in the Lincolnshire area

Could you spend a couple of hours with a local college talking to a small group of students about procurement?

Continuing our recent Generation Y activity as part of the CIPS President's theme, we want CIPS members in the Lincolnshire area to join a pilot programme to inspire the next generation to see procurement as the profession of choice.CIPS is working with Young Enterprise, a national charity which works with young people to give them skill and experience in business.

CIPS has produced a pack of slides and resources as a basis for the session so it's just your time and expertise we're after. The sessions will take place in October and November 2012 and can be run at lunchtime or the end of the college day (4.30-6.30pm) depending on your availability. There will be around 12 -15 students aged 15-17 to a group.

CIPS is piloting this activity in Lincolnshire this year including schools and colleges in Grantham, Stamford, Bourne and Uppingham. To register your interest please contact claire.brewis@cips.org. This activity earns also earns you credits in CIPS Continuous Professional Development programme.
