New white paper gives guidance on the UK Bribery act.

Procurement professionals urged to impliment new procedures to stop bribery

Procurement professionals are encouraged to be more aware of corruption within their organisations. The Bribery Act, which came into force July 1st, will make it easier to prosecute those who are involved in bribery or failing to stop bribery occurring.  It is crucial for companies to be aware of the modernisation of the law, which includes hospitality, dishonesty and passive involvement.

In the white paper Compliance - not Complacence What Anti-Bribery & Corruption and the Bribery Act means for Procurement Professionals by Keith Read, outlines the 6 principles to prevent bribery within an organisation. The 6 principles have been set out into bite-sized, understandable chunks that include the principle itself and an explanation of how to implement the advice.
