PZU Group awarded CIPS Corporate Certification Standard – Demonstrating Best Practice and Commitment to Procurement Standards

8th March 2017 The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) has awarded PZU Group procurement division with the globally-recognised procurement certification after demonstrating their commitment to improving policies and procedures in procurement and supply chain management.

PZU Group is the largest insurance company in Poland which excels in terms of technology and innovation. The company has been consistently achieving impressive financial results. The procurement function is responsible for more than 86% of external spend for the company and so recognised as integral to the company’s performance. This is evident in the company’s investment in high-quality accreditations such as the CIPS Corporation Certification Standard.

The CIPS Corporate Certification Standard demonstrates that an organisation has all the procurement governance mechanisms in place for effective supply assurance and compliance. The certification has strengthened and underpinned the procurement team’s knowledge and given them the reassurance that they meet top professional standards.

The certificate was received by PZU Group on the 1st February and presented by Will Beattie, CIPS Head of International Business Development.

 CIPS said:
“PZU Group’s procurement team engaged in the process with an open and positive approach. They worked hard to gather all necessary materials and close identified competence gaps in a very efficient way. They should be extremely proud of their achievement.”

Aleksandra Agatowska, group director at PZU Group and member of management board at PZU Życie said:
“We strongly believe that obtaining the prestigious CIPS Certificate will improve our confidence and add value to our role, internally and externally, making us a preferred partner and value creator.”
