Quick guide for the UK Bribery Act reform

The Ministry of Justice has published its long-awaited guidance to align with the Bribery Act 2010. The guidance is for corporates to follow to put into place “adequate procedures” to prevent bribery within an organisation and its supply chain.

The new bribery act has reformed the law to enable courts and prosecutors to respond to bribery in a quicker and more effective manner, be it at home or abroad.

The knowledge section of the website hosts a quick guide which offers a handy reference to help businesses prepare for implementation.

The offences created by the Act will now come into force on 1 July 2011.
