Nearly three weeks have passed since the 2015 CIPS Australasia Conference and the stories emanating from the event continue to be told.
Today, we’re letting the numbers tell the story by demonstrating the changes happening throughout not just CIPS Australasia’s conference model, but the wider procurement profession.
Keeping in line with the conference theme of ‘Raise your game, raise your voice’, we were committed to raising our game by delivering discernible value to our members.
In doing so, we reduced the pricing of conference tickets for members in contrast to a higher rate for non-members. This was to ensure our members continue to receive value for their membership.
The results of this model has been pleasing, with 85 per cent of attendees being registered members of CIPS.
Another encouraging statistic to come out of the conference was the representation of women, with the ratio in contrast to men fast approaching parity with a 60:40 M:F ratio.
Finally, while the event was held in Melbourne, the representation from other states and countries was fantastic, with 41 per cent coming from Victoria, 47 per cent from interstate, 11 per cent travelling internationally to attend the conference with one per cent unknown.
To all our attendees be you a member, non-member, male, female, foreign or domestic, thank you for coming along to the 2015 CIPS Australasia Annual Conference and helping raise the voice of the procurement profession.
We look forward to seeing on Wednesday, 26 July 2016 for the 12th CIPS Australasia Conference.
