The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) and BravoSolution join forces, and invest in the power of strategic procurement.

CIPS 13 January 2016

New website offers CIPS members a hub of procurement and supply chain resources to support professional development and organisational performance.

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) has chosen BravoSolution, the strategic procurement company, as one of its expert partners, developing a centralised knowledge hub on the CIPS website where members can access a repository of procurement and supply chain resources to further their professional development and improve their organisation’s business performance.

“In today’s quickly-changing and highly-competitive global market, procurement professionals have to stay on top of all the trends, market changes and industry best practices that impact their business,” said David Noble, Group CEO, CIPS. “This new knowledge partnership with BravoSolution will encourage procurement professionals to think more strategically and empower them to be more confident in applying new ideas and approaches that add value to their business, and beyond.”

The new content hub includes case studies, practitioner insight and best practices to guide procurement professionals in solving everyday challenges. The resources are designed to support accredited CIPS members’ professional development and give them the tools and knowledge they need to advance beyond conventional procurement practices and deliver more value for their organisations.

“Technology is a powerful and vital tool for successful procurement teams, but in order to make a real impact, you also need to invest in the people and processes,” said Jim Wetekamp, CEO of BravoSolution. “We’re working with CIPS to give procurement professionals the knowledge and resources they need to do their jobs even more effectively, and move their organisations to the forefront of delivering procurement value.”

The resource repository includes both text-based and video content around a variety of topics, including risk management and spend analysis. Specialty content will feature resources on tracking and reporting of savings, simplifying RFx processes across organisations, validating and justifying procurement decisions, supporting supplier collaboration, engagement and development and fostering innovative approaches to procurement.

“Backed by a global team of local procurement practitioners, and a long history of procurement excellence, BravoSolution has the experience, processes and expertise necessary to add significant value to our CIPS members,” said Noble. “BravoSolution has local teams operating all across the globe – including in the UK, China, Scandinavia, MENA and APAC regions – which aligns nicely with the geographic makeup of CIPS membership – ensuring members receive resources that are tailored to the trends and challenges specific to their area of the world.”

The resources are now available on the CIPS website: and media enquirers are offered access to the resources for reporting purposes.
